In 1990 Novato Video Transfer was founded with one
goal in mind - to offer quality and affordable transfer
of home movies to video, and now also DVD, CD-ROM,
and video CD (VCD). We use a true Telecine system
for accurate reproduction of color, light and film
speed. Light is passed through each frame of film via
an ultrasharp glass lens at 16 to 24 fps. The film is not
scanned nor do we us a revolving prism. This image
is processed using three color imaging chips and
routed via firewire to either a DVcam or MiniDV VCR.
Music, titles, transitional effects and editing can be
added at this point. The data is now transferred to the
desired medium. All film is cleaned, conditioned and
spliced prior to transfer. All films are monitored and
color corrected throughout the process. We can show
the full frame or "size to fit" to the 4:3 standard TV
screen format. You get a bright, flicker-free image
without artifacts common to less professional methods. |
